Tourism · Licensed product · Sold to clients
Wander Yak — a tourism booking platform, not a brochure site.
Packages, cause-driven campaigns, bookings, and payments in one system, with a full admin CMS behind it — built once, licensed out under a no-resale license, not rebuilt per client.
What a traveler sees
Packages that sell themselves — not a gallery someone has to caption.
A rough sketch of the package layout — not real photography, just the idea: price and availability up front, no "enquire to find out."
The problem
A tourism business doesn't need a website. It needs a booking engine that also happens to be a website.
Most "tourism websites" are a gallery of photos and a contact form — the actual selling still happens over WhatsApp and phone calls. Wander Yak exists because the real business need was: take a payment, hold the seat, send the itinerary, without a human in the loop for every step.
What it does
Built to sell trips, not just show them.
Packages & itineraries
Attractions, tour features, day-by-day itinerary, and per-package SEO fields — each package is its own editable, searchable page, not a static PDF.
Bookings & payments
A full booking flow with Razorpay checkout, a generated PDF itinerary, and payment success/failure handling — not a "we'll call you back" form.
Cause & volunteer campaigns
Volunteer-style trip registrations with their own flow — consent and declaration fields, an optional entry fee, and Razorpay payment only when a fee applies.
Enquiries & leads
Every enquiry lands in the admin, not just an inbox — so a lead that isn't ready to pay yet doesn't just disappear into someone's email.
Reviews & content
Reviews, blogs, and destination pages that feed SEO — plus a sitemap, RSS feed, and per-page metadata, not an afterthought.
Admin roles & permissions
Multiple admins with real role-based access, not one shared login — the same RBAC pattern used across every system I build.
Why it holds up
Licensed, not custom-built per client
One codebase under a no-resale license — a business gets a working booking platform without paying for a from-scratch build, and I'm not maintaining N one-off forks.
Real payment flow, not a placeholder
Razorpay checkout with success/failure handling built in, plus multi-provider email (SendGrid, Mailgun, PHPMailer) for confirmations — not a "contact us to pay" dead end.
SEO built in, not bolted on
Sitemap, robots.txt, RSS feed, and per-package metadata fields — a tourism site lives or dies on search traffic, so this wasn't optional.
